1. Who We Are

Pickle Nation is a trading name of PN Holdings Aus Pty Ltd, which operates a pickleball facility located in Thornbury, Victoria, Australia. This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile booking application, website, and facility operations.

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What Personal Information We Collect

Account and booking information

We collect your name, email address, and phone number, along with your booking history and court preferences. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by us directly.

Usage information

We collect app usage data and device identifiers, along with session logs and error reports used to improve the app.

Camera and video footage

Our facility records all courts continuously via CCTV for safety and operational purposes. If you choose to clip a point using the in-app feature, a short video segment from that session is captured and associated with your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to process bookings and manage your account, send booking confirmations, reminders, and facility updates, manage memberships and payments, ensure the safety and security of our facility, improve our app and services, and comply with our legal obligations.

Regarding video clips: if you use the clip feature, we may use that footage for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our social media channels and website. By initiating a clip, you consent to this use. You can withdraw consent for a specific clip by contacting us before publication.

We will not use continuous CCTV footage for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

- Service providers, including Stripe (payment processing) and PodPlay (booking and facility management), who are contractually required to handle data securely

- Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law or to protect the safety of individuals

- Business successors, in the event of a sale or transfer of our business

Where we share data with overseas parties (for example, cloud infrastructure providers), we take reasonable steps to ensure those parties handle information consistently with Australian privacy law.

5. Storage and Security

We store your personal information on secure servers and take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.

CCTV footage is retained for 30 days and then deleted, unless it has been clipped or is required for an ongoing safety or legal matter.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate or out-of-date information, request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements), and withdraw consent for the use of a specific video clip in marketing, prior to publication.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@picklenation.com.au

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our app and website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand usage patterns and improve the user experience. You can disable cookies in your browser or device settings, though some features may not function correctly as a result.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us at hello@picklenation.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au
